My child hasn't yet learned to tell time but it has shown her what the numbers she repeats all the time actually look like and matching the shapes is never a dull deal for a child who loves puzzels. The product itself is durable and filled with pleasing colors. Lasting wood and I haven't seen a hint of color chipping. Over all i'm very pleased and I know it will be used for quite a while still when she's ready to learn about the actual clock.
The toy was very well constructed and appeared to be a great learning tool to learn time. I, however wanted a wall clock which I thought this was. The misconception was on my part otherwise I would have kept it however I had to return it.
My granddaughter loves this clock. It helps in teaching shapes, colors, numbers, and time-telling skills in a way children enjoy.
My 4 year old was interested in learning to tell time from our kitchen clock, but my husband and I were not succeeding in getting through to her. This clock is perfect. She is learning to tell time, and our 2 year old is learning her shapes. We love all the Melissa & Doug toys, because they are very durable and educational.
This toy has helped my 4 year old to understand how the clock moves, tell basic time, and will be a keeper as she learns more about telling time as she gets into school. Great instructional toy, one to keep around. Defiantly not going into any yard sales any time soon.
